Pumpkin Patch

On Monday, my mom, Cathi, Nathan, Anne E. and I went to the pumpkin patch. It has been years since I have gone to an actual patch to pick out a pumpkin. There were lots of attractions besides pumpkins and scarecrows. The farm included animals, games, playgrounds, and even a corn maze!

Inspiration Regarding Routine

"If you spend your entire life doing something, you should come up with resonating things that you know to be true. You can sing a ditty and not feel it. But when you feel a song, and you wrote it from a place that was honest - or was honest as you were able to be at that moment - it keeps refreshing you."

Happy Anniversary Gretchen and Henry

Two years ago was the wedding of my dear friends, Gretchen and Henry - Here's to 2 years!

Snapshots from Portland

I sort of dropped the ball as to the rest of my trip to Portland. My parent's went to Paris and Portugal and took 400 pictures. Embarrassingly enough, Josh and I took more than that of Portland. I think that is a bit hilarious. Oh well, we are little shutter bugs without a pet or child to focus on. The two of us love photography, which means, when we return from our vacations, they are well chronicled. Here's a bunch of shots that will give you an overview of all Portland has to offer...

Regina's Baby Shower

This Saturday was Regina's baby shower. It was a special occasion in the sense that Regina is expecting her first baby. She is waiting to find out if its a boy or a girl. The celebration was held in a garden that is behind the cottage that she and Derek rent. Regina is one of my most creative friends. Due to the size of her cottage, Derek and her are going to have to be very strategic about how that make room for a baby. Regina all ready has the bassinet she used as a baby set up in her loft. It's adorable. I guess it's not the baby, really, but all of the stuff a baby needs. It seems that the stuff a baby needs is inproportionate to its size. The smaller the child, the more stuff is required. Funny how that works!

Merri was a special guest at the shower. She flew from Washington D.C. to attend this occasion. Katie, who is also pregnant and due in February, flew from San Francisco. It was an afternoon reunion of sorts. I was happy to attend this celebration! I am looking forward to hearing Regina's birth story near the end of November when her little bundle is due....

Anne E.

I had forgotten that Josh had snapped a few photos of Anne E. around the time of her first birthday. Since then, she has had many more adventures in foreign lands. Here's a little flashback to her days in New York City.
